PINTU & ICN present a retelling the Batak folklore ‘Dayang Bandir and Sandean Raja’, Nilanka chronicles the characters’ intertwined journey in fighting for their own purpose.
The musical showcases the aftermath of a civil war in the late nineteenth century that saw the emergence of various family groups of the Batak tribe in North Sumatra.

 

“PINTU is short for Pelajar Indonesia NTU or Indonesian Student NTU, an organization which consist of Indonesian students currently studying in Nanyang Technological University (NTU) – Singapore. The membership covers all students pursuing a bachelor’s or post graduate degree. PINTU was established on August 17, 2002″
