Meeting with the Regional Director of the World Bank On July 13, 2017 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the Regional Director for Central Asia of the World Bank (WB) Lilia Burunchuk, who arrived in Tashkent as the head of a representative delegation to hold bilateral negotiations. The current visit of Lilia Burunchuk to our country is the fourth since the beginning of this year. Earlier, the WB delegation also visited the Aral Sea area to get acquainted with the social and economic situation. Uzpakhtasanoatexport Holding Company has scheduled several investment projects in the next few years to bring the country’s cotton industry to a new level The objectives of the Action Strategy along Five Priority Areas in 2017-2021, initiated by the head of state, underlie the abovementioned initiatives. The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has approved a program of measures on the establishment of up-to-date production of children’s accessories and toys in Tashkent The new production cluster will be created on the basis of the former Tashigrushka plant with an area of ​​more than 12,000 square meters. The territory has been idle for a long time; most of the production lines and infrastructure have become completely unusable and do not function.
