Contest ‘You Are the Only One, My Holy Motherland!’

The State Conservatory of Uzbekistan has become the venue for the final round of the Contest among higher education institutions ‘You Are the Only One, My Holy Motherland!’ timed to the 26th anniversary of our country’s independence.

This creative project plays an important role in the formation in the younger generation of the lofty sense of patriotism, fidelity to the home country, and responsibility for its future. The music festival was held under the motto “My love and fidelity to you, my Uzbekistan.”

Qualifying rounds of the contest got involved over 13 thousand young people across the country, who showcased their talents performing bright and remembering songs.

The representatives of 14 higher education institutions reached the finale, whose performing skills were highly estimated by the competent jury.

The songs glorifying our home country, its sceneries, and achievements gained within the years of independence, were performed in the contest.

“This festive event provides young people the opportunity to manifest their talents,” Mirzufar Sharipov, student at the Mirzo Ulughbek National University of Uzbekistan, said, who in the contest performed the song ‘Jannat O’zbekistonim.’

The first prize of the contest went to the Guldasta band from the Alisher Navoi Samarkand State University with the song ‘O’ktam Diyor’ (The Beautiful Land) and the Ziyo Sadolari students’ group of the Karshi State University with the song ‘Mustaqil Vatan’ (The Independent Motherland).
